And now, back to our plans...

Sisters, As you know, this year celebrates Tau Lambda’s 25th Anniversary! We have a great weekend planned and hope you will join us. We ask that you send your response by Friday April 9, 2010. Details for payment info below...

A few notes: due to constraints between the University and Headquarters, we are unable to serve alcohol at the banquet; however we will meet for Happy Hour prior to the dinner and we have the rest of the night to enjoy ourselves… we even have a driver!!!! The money we are requesting for the banquet will cover the shuttle bus, decorations (minimal), as well as the room rental. We are incurring this cost so the current sisters will be able to attend the evening at a discount.

We are collecting for Relay For Life, a campus-wide event to benefit the American Cancer Society, which the chapter will participate. We are also asking that you consider making a donation to Tau Lambda to offset the cost of the event for current sisters even more and to raise money for the upkeep of their chapter house. Any amount is greatly appreciated…even if you are unable to join us, please consider showing your support.

FRIDAY April 23rd, 2010:
Relay for Life

Stop by and cheer for AOII as the campus participates in this 12-hour event to benefit the American Cancer Society.

25th Anniversary Ceremony
11 am – 12 pm @Messiah United Methodist Church – 30 South Penn
During this special ceremony we will “renew” our AOII vows and honor our founding sisters who now celebrate 25 years with AOII! Dress for the ceremony is badge attire (no jeans or sneakers) - more a "business casual"... alums do not need to wear all white.

Luncheon at AOII House

Tour the newest AOII house and meet the current sisters! Light lunch will be served. We would love volunteers to make dishes or desserts.

Happy Hour - Knute’s Pub & Grill

We will have an area reserved for Hors D’oeuvres and cash bar.

Red Rose Banquet Dinner
6 pm – 8 pm @ 500 Newburg Road at the Conference Center on Shippensburg Campus
Join us “formal style” as we officially celebrate our chapter. “Taste of Italy” buffet includes: Soft drinks, Salad, Chicken Romano Freschetta, Grilled Flank Steak, Roasted Potatoes, Green Beans with Coffee, Tea, Biscotti and Cannoli for dessert. We suggest a "semi-formal" dress (ie. black dress LOL... no need for "prom gowns"!haha but dress or dress pants appropriate... after all, we will be going "out on the town" afterward!)

We have reserved a shuttle that will transport everyone to the Conference Center. Pick up will begin at 5:30 pm from 3 locations: Shippen Place Hotel, AOII House, and Knute’s Pub. This will then pick up after dinner and service will be available until 11:30 pm Saturday, it will “loop” around town stopping at all the “hot spots”!
