Alumnae Advisory Committee

Hello Alumnae Advisory Committee Members,

Happy summer from the Network 1 team! I work with the Tau Lambda chapter at Shippensburg University. As you know over the past year, Tau Lambda chapter has been faced with a variety of challenges, and are now embarking on a new and exciting opportunity: rebuilding the chapter and ensuring success on Shippensburg’s campus.

We truly appreciate your continued support of the Tau Lambda chapter. In an effort to build a successful Tau Lambda chapter, the Network team will be conducting an alumnae advisory committee review for current AAC members. If you are interested in serving as an AAC member for this upcoming year, we ask that you submit a new application. We look forward to working with a dynamic group of alumnae women, dedicated to seeing this chapter succeed.

As a reminder, if you wish to apply for an alumnae advisory committee role, you would oversee the operations of one or more officers. You would need to participate in offered trainings throughout the year, familiarize yourself with current manuals, procedures and policies, communicate regularly and collaborate with the Network team, and attend monthly AAC meetings. Each adviser should plan on attending LC and chapter meetings as necessary for your officer and on a rotational basis with the other advisers. The time commitment varies with the offices advised and your needs. Many communications can be via phone or email.

If you are interested in learning more about this meaningful and important opportunity to interact with the chapter, please fill out the attached form and scan/e-mail it to me by August 10th. A team of volunteers and staff will be visiting Shippensburg the weekend of August 19-21 where we will meet with interested AAC candidates and provide basic AAC training. If there are any questions I can answer for you, please do not hesitate to ask.

I hope to hear from you soon!

If you wish to volunteer, please email us at taulambdaalum@gmail.com and we can forward your information.

Homecoming 2011

Homecoming 2011: WHAT HAPPENS IN SHIP...
Are you READY for Homecoming 2011? The Homecoming Committee proudly presents Homecoming 2011: WHAT HAPPENS IN SHIP… This year's Homecoming is September 28 - October 1.

While this year's theme is a nod to Las Vegas, it also has a deeper meaning. Ship is a destination--a place where someone can be anything or anyone they want to be. Time flies, and students are only here for a short time. But in just a few short years they pack in a lifetime's worth of amazing times and fond memories. The experiences they have and the connections they make will last a lifetime. What happens here does not stay here. Students carry it with them forever. And just like any memorable ride, most people can't wait to go back!

Get excited because all of your favorite events are returning--Battle of the Campus, Lip Sync, Spirit Rally, and of course, the big game on Saturday. We also have a few new surprises in store for you. So mark your calendars! September 28 - October 1!!! Get Ready for a week of fun events, relive some of your favorite SHIP moments, and let everyone know that WHAT HAPPENS IN SHIP… won't happen anywhere else!
