Thirteen area vendors will bring the feel of a farmer's market to campus Oct. 1 when Shippensburg University hosts its first Community Food Expo from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.Dr. Chad Kimmel, associate professor of sociology and organizer of the event, called it "a celebration of local food and local issues. I wanted to bring together local farmers who are producing some of the healthiest and best tasting food around."
The free expo will take place in the street hockey pavilion located at the rear of campus across from the H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center.
